8 weeks till Humpty's Hike!

What a beautiful weekend we just had to get out and about and start training. A few of us did the 2.5hr walk from Avalon to Palm Beach, back to Avalon yesterday morning and enjoyed the sensational views, plenty of sunshine with lots of laughs along the way.

Training Walk Dates

As you have now all been notified of the training program by Adventure1000 in preparation for the Humpty's Hike, use the following group walk dates to make as part of your own program. It will also enable you to meet other Humpty's Hikers and be much more enjoyable than training alone.

These are the proposed dates and walks to pop in the diary and let anyone else know who may want to join us - they don't have to be going on the Hike, the more the merrier. The locations and dates may change once we start talking to each other and will be confirmed each week, so keep checking back to the BLOG to see the 'where to meet' details. Early departing times - approx. 7am - will ensure everyone is able to get back to enjoying their families and other commitments. Please comment on the BLOG to let us know who will be joining in on the various walks.

PLEASE NOTE:  The walk on Saturday 9 October is an official Humpty Hike walk and is scheduled in your training program. Humpty and Michele from A1000 request your presence. Please respond to BLOG to confirm your attendance by posting a comment.

'Sex And The City' Fundraiser

Humpty’s Hike is rapidly approaching with just over two months to go!
It is fantastic to see that so many of you have created your fundraising pages to help you reach your goal of $2,000 – maybe even beyond! We had a wonderful response to our two 'Sex And The City' fundraising movie nights back in June, with 380 women attending the Wollongong premier and 500 women attending the Warriewood event. The money raised was able to help many of those who got involved start their fundraising. At both events the women enjoyed watching the movie, drinking champagne, receiving goodie bags and winning exciting raffle prizes.

9 weeks till Humpty's Hike!

Get your trekking boots out ladies.....the walking begins!
A group of 10 of us started our training by walking The Spit to Manly a few weeks ago. There was much fun had by all and everyone talked the whole way - only to draw breath as a kind passer-by stopped to take our photo.
